According to Annex No. 1 to the Decree No. 1041 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 24 November 2023, the first executives and their deputies of Kazakhstan legal entities (LLPs) with 100% foreign participation may obtain a C3 work visa without a work permit or quota. The same procedure applies to the first managers of branches and representative offices of foreign legal entities on the basis of Article 36-1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 22, 2011 No. 477-IV "On Population Migration".

What is required

to apply for a C3 visa?

For the Director/Deputy Director of LLP with 100% foreign shares

    Resolution and order of appointment (for the executive of the company)
  • -2-

    · Copy of the employment contract (for a deputy of the company)
  • -3-

    · A document from the state body confirming 100% foreign participation of the LLP
For the first director of a branch/representative office of a foreign legal entity
  • -1-

    The decision of the founder or an extract from the general meeting of founders on the appointment of a foreign employee as the first manager;

At Consular offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan
in the country of citizenship or permanent residence of the foreigner
In the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan
if the foreigner has a valid visa of the relevant category for the change of visa type or if permitted within the framework of entry under a visa-free regime.

C3 visa

for family members

If the foreigner is accompanied by family members (spouse and children), they need to obtain a C3 visa as accompanying persons.

Take into account
Family members are granted a visa without the right to work and for the period of validity of the visa of the main employee.
Note
Documents issued abroad are subject to apostilisation or consular legalisation in the country of issue. If the document is issued on the territory of one of the CIS member states, it is sufficient to provide its original.
